Past Projects
Folsom Dam Security

We design and manage system configuration, commissioning, testing and customer training; delivering a fully-functional and stable security system for the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR)'s Folsom Dam. Our team is responsible for all project management and technical services to meet the BOR's objectives. We provided consulting services to identify site-specific strategies for the mitigation of risk to BOR assets. This includes on-site surveys to determine existing site conditions, determining
Bureau of Reclamationend-user requirements, and recommending best-value solutions to the government, which represent current, best practices of the security industry. With the site prepared, our team installed all infrastructure, hardware, and software, optimizing the fully integrated system for peak performance. After testing the systems, we prepared system and component documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, and provided training to BOR staff. Our contribution to the securing of this high value asset is a critical step in the BOR's preparations for and mission in the Global War on Terror.
"TTI was able to provide technical support in overcoming obstacles in integrating the components of our system. Their ability to team with our technical and support staff in accomplishing the goals of the organization were exceptional." -Patrick Leonetti, Bureau of Reclamation
USMC Training Systems

We have designed, created, and delivered more than 55 integrated, technology enhanced training units for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). We supplied these systems to military installations across the globe. The Language Training Systems (LTS) are Internet Protocol (IP) based and designed to support internet
U.S. Marine Corps based learning curriculum, international radio and television, web browsing, and database access for course curriculum. Each LTS provides an instructor's computer and lectern, and typically 16 linguist workstations to facilitate language training, sustainment, and testing at bases requiring support. Our team continues to provide system operations and maintenance support for the LTS using a combination of the help desk support system at our facilities and on-site support. Based on experience deploying LTS worldwide, we use scheduled preventive maintenance visits to keep the systems operating at their optimal level. Our integrated response to language training and maintenance support has led Trofholz to become an essential part of the USMC language training program.
Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC)
Trofholz team members provide direct support to nearly every mission area of the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC) on Lackland AFB in San Antonio. By the end of 2010, Trofholz' fastest-growing team comprised 29 talented individuals.
Team DLI
DLIELCAs DLIELC's first-ever contractors, we started by interviewing over 120 customer representatives across every division to gain an understanding of the difficulties confronting the DLIELC staff. This enabled us to author an insightful "Needs Assessment Whitepaper" filled with actionable recommendations for DLIELC leadership. Col Jones, DLIELC Commandant, was so thoroughly impressed with the white paper that he was noted saying, "exactly what we need...go and do it."
One of the team's biggest jobs was performing the installation and integration of 150 SMART Board interactive whiteboards in DLIELC's classrooms. To improve DLIELCs low usage of their existing systems, we provided hands-on training to 200+ DLIELC staff members to familiarize them with this new technology.
Additionally, the team more than answered the call by supporting TTI's accelerated effort to provide DLIELC its first-ever cadre of contract instructors. This initial group of 13 instructors is now delivering English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to meet the DLIELC's increased demand for English language training.
"I question whether other companies would have been as diligent and appreciate TTI's professionalism." –Andy Ulsher, DLIELC
Southwest Center for Language
We provided Administrative Staff personnel, a Program Manager, Language Instructors, and IT Support personnel for the Southwest Center for Language. Our personnel were trained and familiar with operations supporting 80,000 language training hours (84 classes) per year and 400 students, faculty and staff members. Our team taught all aspects of resident courses to military personnel and federal government civilian employees, using real-world proficiency activities. In addition to teaching listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, the curriculum included instruction in geopolitical, economic, social issues and attributes of foreign culture, as well as job-related tasks in an immersion-proficiency based environment. Our instructors stayed abreast of current foreign language teaching, testing and curriculum development theories and methods and participated in the organizations' sponsored professional development program.
